Premarket Acquires Maklare AI to Track Previously Hidden Homebuyer Demand

For years, residential real estate has run on a lopsided data model. Supply gets tracked obsessively — every listing, every price cut, every day on market. Demand sits in the dark.

Agent notepads, scattered CRM entries, phone call scribbles. That gap is what Premarket’s acquisition of Maklare AI, announced today, is designed to close.

Premarket runs an agent-only platform that aggregates private listings — properties never posted to public multiple listing services — into one searchable network. Think of it as a back-channel marketplace where brokers share off-market inventory among themselves. The company’s existing business is supply-side: a centralized feed of homes that most buyers never see.

Maklare AI does the opposite. The New York-based firm builds software to parse buyer and renter intent.

Not what is for sale. What people actually want. Price range, location, timing, urgency — signals scattered across agent workflows.

Maklare’s specialty is pulling structure out of that unstructured noise. The deal merges the two sides. Premarket gets a demand-intelligence layer wired directly into its supply network.

Oliver Wenner, Maklare’s co-founder and CEO, becomes Premarket’s chief operating officer. The technical result: a system that can match buyer intent to off-market inventory before either side would normally surface.

This matters because the residential real estate market has no central demand database. Multiple listing services track listings. Brokerages track their own clients.

Nobody tracks what every serious buyer in a market wants at a given moment. That fragmentation is inefficient.

Agents spend hours calling around, checking if a colleague has something that fits a client’s specs. Premarket’s bet is that wiring structured demand data into a shared supply network makes those matches automatic. The matching happens inside the agent-only ecosystem.

No consumer-facing portal. No Zillow-style public interface. Premarket remains a tool for agents, not buyers.

The demand signals Maklare surfaces stay within that professional network. This is Premarket’s move to build what it calls residential real estate’s first demand intelligence platform.

The phrase is marketing. The underlying logic is straightforward: if you know what people are looking for before they find it listed, and you control the pool of off-market supply, you can connect them faster than the public market can. Premarket launched as a central hub for private listings — properties shared only among agents, never hitting the MLS.

That supply pool is growing. Off-market listings have become a fixture of tight inventory markets.

Sellers want privacy. Agents want exclusivity. Buyers want access to homes before they hit the open market.

Premarket’s platform sits at that intersection. Maklare’s technology gives that platform a demand-side mirror. The combined system can, in theory, surface a match between a buyer’s unexpressed intent and a listing that never made it to a public feed.

That is the product Premarket is now selling. The transaction was announced today.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Wenner moves into the COO role immediately. Residential real estate has long been a data business that treated half the data as uncollectible.

Premarket’s acquisition of Maklare AI is a bet that the other half is now collectible — and that wiring it into the existing supply network changes how agents find matches. The deal is small in dollar terms by industry standards.

The structural logic behind it is not.
