Ultrasound Machine

San Francisco, June 18 — In a stunning move, the company behind Midjourney, famous for generating images with artificial intelligence, has announced a new direction: medical diagnostics. The creators of Midjourney unveiled the Midjourney Medical project, which includes a revolutionary whole-body scanner based on ultrasound and a network of special medical spa centers. The Midjourney Scanner works on the principle of ultrasound tomography, where a person stands on a platform and is slowly lowered into water through a ring of hundreds of thousands of ultrasound sensors.

This technology uses sound waves rather than radiation or powerful magnetic fields, as in CT and MRI, to collect a huge amount of data and form a three-dimensional model of the body’s internal tissues. The goal of the project is to produce images comparable in quality to MRI, but tens of times faster and cheaper.

The company’s management claims that the technology already exists and is being tested. A medical spa is not what you typically associate with medical diagnostics. However, the company plans to open the first Midjourney Spa in San Francisco as early as 2027, offering saunas, jacuzzis, cold plunge pools, and rooms with a “golden light” where body scanning will happen at the same time.

The idea is to turn medical diagnostics from an unpleasant procedure into part of ordinary rest and health care. The company’s management claims that scanning could take about 60 seconds and become so accessible that people would undergo it regularly — even every day.

The practical upshot is that people could regularly collect data about their bodies. As the project moves forward, it will be interesting to see how the Midjourney Medical project develops. The company’s innovative approach to medical diagnostics is certainly something to watch. Consult your doctor for medical advice.
